Chief Legatee
'Chief Legatee' Summary
John Ashton, a seemingly happy man, is deeply disturbed on his wedding day when his bride, Georgian Hazen, mysteriously vanishes after the ceremony. Their marriage is driven by the vast fortune left to Georgian by her late father, making her the chief legatee. John, initially believing it to be a nervous breakdown, soon suspects something more sinister. As he investigates, he encounters a cast of eccentric characters, including a strange lawyer, the eccentric Dr. Anstruther, and a series of suspicious relatives.
