La Comtesse d'Escarbagnas est une comédie-ballet de Molière qui dépeint avec humour les mésaventures d'une provinciale qui arrive à Paris avec l'ambition de se faire passer pour une femme raffinée et élégante. Elle s'est imbibée de préceptes de bonne conduite et se croit supérieure aux Parisiens, mais ses efforts maladroits pour paraître sophistiquée ne font que la rendre ridicule.
