Point Counter Point
'Point Counter Point' Summary
Point Counter Point follows the lives of a group of intellectuals and artists in London, including the writer Philip Quarles, the composer Spandrell, and the philosopher Mark Rampion. Quarles is in love with Rampion's wife, Lucy, but their affair is doomed from the start. Spandrell is obsessed with the idea of creating a perfect work of art, but his efforts are ultimately in vain. Rampion, meanwhile, is a brilliant but disillusioned philosopher who has lost faith in the world. As the characters' lives intertwine, Huxley explores the themes of love, relationships, and society, and the search for meaning in a world that seems increasingly chaotic and meaningless.Book Details
