Davy and the Goblin
'Davy and the Goblin' Summary
Eight-year-old Davy, captivated by Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland,' falls asleep with the book in hand. Suddenly, a mischievous goblin emerges from the fireplace and whisks Davy away on a 'believing voyage' filled with wondrous encounters. Davy finds himself in a realm reminiscent of Wonderland, where he meets a talking cat, a wise old owl, and even a mischievous imp. Throughout his adventures, Davy learns that the key to experiencing the magic of this world lies in believing, just as Alice discovered in her own journey. Davy's encounters with these fantastical creatures challenge his preconceived notions and encourage him to embrace the power of his own imagination. Through Davy's experiences, the story explores themes of belief, imagination, and the enduring power of stories to transport us to magical realms.Book Details
