Dix mille lieues sans le vouloir is a French mystery novel by Jules Lermina. The story follows Jean Marbach, a bank employee who is sent to investigate a branch in the provinces. On the train to Nancy, he falls asleep and wakes up in strange circumstances. He has no memory of the past two years and finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation. Jean must race against time to find out what happened to him and who killed his father.
