'Fair Mystery' Summary
Mark Brace, a farmer on the verge of losing his ancestral land, finds solace in a mysterious package left on his doorstep during a stormy night. The package contains a baby girl, Doris, along with a note promising financial support in exchange for raising the child. Doris grows into a beautiful and intelligent young woman, but her upbringing instills in her a relentless desire for a life of opulence.
