'Home' Summary
Lucy Snowe is a young governess who travels to a remote village in the north of England to take up a position with the Huntingdon family. The family consists of Mr. Huntingdon, a wealthy widower, and his two daughters, Caroline and Rose. Lucy soon finds herself drawn to Mr. Huntingdon, but she is afraid to act on her feelings because she believes that he is too good for her. Meanwhile, Caroline and Rose are both interested in Lucy, but they are also jealous of her relationship with their father. As the novel progresses, Lucy must confront her own feelings and make a decision about her future. She must also come to terms with the fact that her faith is not always in line with her desires.Book Details
