Little Colonel in Arizona
'Little Colonel in Arizona' Summary
The Ware family, reeling from the death of their father and the mother's illness, leaves their Kentucky home for a new life in Arizona. Joyce, the determined Little Colonel, faces challenges adapting to their new surroundings and struggles with feelings of loneliness and lost dreams. Her spirits lift when she encounters an invalid at Lee's Ranch, who shares the 'Legend of Camelback Mountain', and she learns a valuable lesson about perseverance from the 'Lesson of the Bees'. Lloyd, the Little Colonel's friend, arrives for a month-long visit, introducing a new dimension to their lives. Joyce becomes captivated by Phil Tremont, a handsome and likeable young man, but he is wrestling with his own difficulties, seeking answers to the 'Legend of Alaka and the lost turquoises'. Through heartwarming characters and engaging adventures, the story weaves themes of family, resilience, and the power of hope during times of transition.Book Details
