'Interrupted' Summary
Claire Benedict is a capable, responsible, solid young Christian woman. Everyone leans on her for support and depends on her to do much that needs to be done in her church and social circle. But then her businessman father dies unexpectedly and leaves the family almost penniless, interrupting her tranquil, fulfilling life.Claire is forced to leave her comfortable home and find work to support her family. She takes a job as a governess in a wealthy family, but she soon finds herself at odds with the family's materialistic values. She then takes a job at an orphanage, where she is inspired by the children's resilience and faith.Claire's journey is one of self-discovery and growth. She learns to trust in God even when things are difficult, and she discovers the importance of serving others. She also learns to stand up for what she believes in, even when it is unpopular.In the end, Claire finds a new path for her life. She becomes a social worker, and she dedicates her life to helping others.Book Details
