'Jacob's Ladder' Summary
Jacob Pratt is a successful businessman who has it all: a beautiful wife, a loving family, and a thriving career. But when his brother is arrested for embezzlement, Jacob's world comes crashing down. He is forced to sell his business and his home to pay his brother's bail, and he is ostracized by his friends and neighbors. Two years later, Jacob's brother is released from prison and repays Jacob the money he owes him. Jacob is overjoyed to have his brother back, but he is still struggling to rebuild his life. He is haunted by the memory of what happened, and he is unable to forgive the people who turned their backs on him. One day, Jacob meets a woman named Mary. Mary is a kind and compassionate woman who helps Jacob to heal his wounds. She teaches him the importance of forgiveness, and she helps him to find peace. With Mary's help, Jacob is able to rebuild his life and find happiness again.Book Details
