Jeanne D'Arc: Her Life And Death
'Jeanne D'Arc: Her Life And Death' Summary
Joan of Arc was a French peasant girl who claimed to have received visions from God telling her to lead the French army to victory against the English during the 100 Years' War. Despite her lack of military experience, Joan led the French army to several important victories, including the Siege of Orleans. However, she was captured by the English and burned at the stake for heresy in 1431. Joan of Arc was later canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church, and she remains a popular figure in French history and culture.Book Details
