El séptimo libro de las Historias de Heródoto describe la invasión persa de Grecia liderada por Jerjes I en el año 480 a. C. El libro comienza con la muerte de Darío I, padre de Jerjes, y los preparativos para la invasión. Jerjes reúne un enorme ejército y armada y se dispone a conquistar Grecia. Los griegos, liderados por los espartanos, se preparan para defender su patria. El libro culmina con la Batalla de las Termópilas, donde los espartanos hacen una heroica resistencia contra los persas.Book Details
