Little Nugget
'Little Nugget' Summary
Nesta Ford, a divorced mother, and Lord Mountry plan to take her son Ogden on a yachting trip despite Ogden's father having won custody. Cynthia Drassilis arrives with Ogden, whom she has "borrowed" from his father's country house. Mr. Ford's secretary, Mr. Minnick, arrives to recover the stolen child, but Cynthia tries to bribe his colleague, Mrs. Sheridan, to no avail. Nesta reveals to Cynthia Ogden's past as the "Little Nugget" and the repeated attempts to kidnap him made by US gangsters. Cynthia persuades Nesta to let her handle the situation, with the help of her wealthy fiancé, Peter Burns, who can pose as a trainee schoolmaster at Ogden's new school.Book Details
