Mikado, Or The Town Of Titipu
'Mikado, Or The Town Of Titipu' Summary
In the topsy-turvy town of Titipu, the Mikado's son, Nanki-Poo, is hiding in plain sight, disguised as a minstrel named Koko. His crime? Falling in love with Yum-Yum, a beautiful maiden betrothed to Ko-Ko, the Lord High Executioner. When the Mikado discovers his son's whereabouts, he dispatches Ko-Ko to behead Nanki-Poo. But Ko-Ko is a bumbling fool, and the execution is repeatedly delayed. Amidst the chaos, Nanki-Poo and Yum-Yum scheme to elope, aided by a chorus of eccentric townsfolk, including the pompous Pooh-Bah and the dim-witted Pish-Tush. As the Mikado himself arrives in Titipu, the townspeople's madcap antics reach a fever pitch, leading to a hilarious and unexpected resolution.Book Details
