'Mulato' Summary
Raimundo, filho de uma escrava e um branco, é um médico formado na Europa que retorna para a sua cidade natal, São Luís do Maranhão, no Brasil. Apesar de sua inteligência e sucesso profissional, Raimundo enfrenta o preconceito por causa de sua pele morena e sua herança africana. A sociedade local, dominada por uma elite branca, o rejeita e o ignora, mesmo que ele se esforce para se integrar à sociedade. Raimundo se apaixona por Ana Rosa, uma mulher branca e rica, mas a relação deles é proibida devido ao racismo e às pressões sociais. A história segue a jornada de Raimundo em busca de reconhecimento e aceitação, mostrando o impacto do racismo e da discriminação em sua vida e na sociedade como um todo.
