Peñas arriba es una novela costumbrista escrita por José María de Pereda en 1895. Se ambienta en un remoto pueblo de Cantabria, Tablanca, donde llega Marcelo, un joven abogado madrileño. La naturaleza imponente y las costumbres del lugar chocan inicialmente con Marcelo, pero poco a poco se va adaptando y descubriendo la belleza y el valor de la vida rural. La novela explora temas como la transformación personal, el arraigo a la tierra y la importancia de las tradiciones.
