'Pirate City: An Algerine Tale' Summary
The Pirate City follows the three members of the Rimini family on their adventure to the African city of Algier, Algeria. The story begins in the Remini abode in Sicily, where Francisco and his two sons Lucien and Mariano are contemplating their trading expedition to Malta. However, their ship is attacked by Barbary pirates, and the family is taken captive. They are taken to the city of Algiers, where they are sold as slaves. The family must use all their wits and courage to survive in this dangerous and unfamiliar land. They eventually escape and return to Sicily, where they are hailed as heroes.Book Details
