Secret of the Silver Car
'Secret of the Silver Car' Summary
Anthony Trent, a successful and elusive criminal, returns to civilian life after serving in World War I. The war's horrors have left him shaken, but he is plagued by a deeper fear: exposure. During a terrifying incident in the trenches, he was buried alive with an English soldier, and in the belief that they wouldn't survive, revealed his true identity. Miraculously rescued, Trent now embarks on a desperate search to locate the soldier, driven by a desire to thank him for saving his life, but also to ensure the soldier won't betray his secret. His journey takes him through a labyrinth of danger and deception. He confronts his own demons, navigates a web of espionage and blackmail, and even finds himself drawn to the possibility of love. The weight of his past threatens to engulf him, but Trent's determination to find the soldier and reclaim some semblance of peace pushes him forward. As he unravels the intricate tapestry of his past, Trent faces a choice: to remain a fugitive from his own life or to confront his past and find redemption.Book Details
