Sermons to the Novices Regular
'Sermons to the Novices Regular' Summary
This book is a collection of sermons by Thomas a Kempis, a 15th-century monk. The sermons are addressed to novices in the religious life and offer lessons on obedience, humility, modesty, patience, love of the cloister, of solitude and silence, zeal for the worship of God, and devotion to the angels and saints, to the holy Mother of God, and above all to the person of Jesus Christ. The sermons are animated with the same spirit and life as the other works of the Venerable Author, and especially his masterpiece, the “Imitation.”Book Details
