'Shadows in Zamboula' Summary
Conan arrives in the city of Zamboula and finds himself in a tavern frequented by shady characters. A warning from a desert nomad warns him of the city's dark secret: cannibalistic Darfarian slaves roam the streets at night, preying on travelers. Despite the warning, Conan stays in the tavern. Later that night, a Darfarian attempts to drag him away, but Conan fights back and survives. He then encounters a woman fleeing from her lover who has been driven mad by a love potion. The woman pleads for Conan's help, seeking to avenge her lover's state by killing the high priest who created the potion. Conan agrees to help, embarking on a dangerous quest against the forces of madness and ritualistic violence. The story depicts Conan's bravery and resourcefulness as he faces a world teeming with danger and mystical forces, highlighting his combat skills and willingness to fight for justice.Book Details
