Shasta Of The Wolves
by Olaf Baker
'Shasta Of The Wolves' Summary
Shasta, a Native American infant, is left alone in the unforgiving wilderness. Nitka, a compassionate she-wolf, finds him and decides to raise him with her own cubs. Shasta learns to hunt, survive, and thrive in the wild, becoming one with the wolf pack. He becomes known as 'Shasta of the Wolves,' a creature of both human and wolf nature. As Shasta grows, he begins to question his origins and searches for his human family. His quest leads him to a community of his people, where he learns of his cultural heritage and place within the human world. Shasta eventually finds a way to bridge the gap between his two worlds, proving that love and acceptance can transcend even the most significant differences. His journey challenges him to balance his wild nature with his human identity, ultimately leading him to a path of peace and understanding.Book Details
