'Sir Nigel' Summary
Nigel Loring, the last of his line, faces ruin. The Black Death and the greedy monks of Waverley have drained his family's wealth, leaving him with only their crumbling manor. Determined to restore his family's honor and win the hand of the fair Lady Mary, Nigel seeks his fortune in the ongoing wars with France. He earns the King's favor and embarks on a perilous quest.
