Stephen Mitchell's Journey is a novel that follows the journey of a young man named Stephen Mitchell as he struggles to find his place in the world. Stephen is a loner who has always felt out of place in his rural community. He dislikes farm work, has limited education, and struggles socially. However, after attending a lecture at a Chautauqua camp meeting, he is inspired to take small steps towards improving himself.
