'Dietegen' Summary
Dietegen, an 11-year-old orphan boy, unjustly accused of theft, faces execution in the puritanical town of Ruechenstein. Rescued by Küngolt, the 7-year-old daughter of the Seldwyler mayor, Dietegen finds refuge in her home. As they grow older, their bond deepens, but misunderstandings and the machinations of others threaten their budding romance.
