The Lord of the Rings
'The Lord of the Rings' Summary
The story begins in the Shire, the idyllic homeland of the hobbits, with Frodo Baggins inheriting the One Ring from his uncle Bilbo. He soon discovers its sinister nature and the immense danger it poses to all of Middle-earth. Joined by a Fellowship comprising hobbits, elves, men, and a dwarf, Frodo sets out to destroy the Ring in the fires of Mount Doom, the only place it can be unmade. Their journey is fraught with peril, as Sauron's forces relentlessly pursue them. The Fellowship eventually breaks, and Frodo continues with Samwise Gamgee, his loyal companion, facing treacherous landscapes, monstrous creatures, and the Ring's insidious influence on Frodo's will. Meanwhile, other members of the Fellowship engage in their own crucial battles against Sauron's armies, shaping the destiny of Middle-earth. The climax takes place in Mordor, where Frodo confronts his ultimate test of strength and will, ultimately leading to the defeat of Sauron and the restoration of peace, though at significant cost.Book Details
