Westy Martin, the so-called best scout since Buffalo Bill, is hired to guide Mr. Madison C. Wilde, Field Manager of Educational Films, on the Santa Fe Trail, as he makes a movie about the history and future of the famous trail. As they set off by train, Westy's friends all call for souvenirs, but maybe they are a bit envious?
