'With Moore at Corunna' Summary
Terrence O'Conner, a young Irish officer, joins the British Army to fight against the French in the Peninsular War. He quickly distinguishes himself in battle and is promoted to captain. When Sir John Moore's army is forced to retreat to Corunna, Terrence is left behind. He then leads a band of Portuguese irregulars and creates the Minho Regiment. He rescues his cousin from a convent and is present at the fall of Oporto. The story is continued in the sequel, "Under Wellington's Command."Book Details
