Zwevende Schaakbord
'Zwevende Schaakbord' Summary
In response to King Arthur's beckoning, Sir Gawain, a valorous knight of the Round Table, embarks on an extraordinary quest to retrieve the ethereal Floating Chessboard. Ten years prior, Gawain had successfully acquired this magical artifact for his sovereign. However, this time, the quest is meticulously orchestrated by the enigmatic wizard Merlin, who, in truth, is not a sorcerer but a master of modern machinery, wielding aircraft, automobiles, motion pictures, telephones, and electric illumination. These technological wonders astound the medieval knights, who are torn between their deeply held beliefs and the wonders of the modern world. Among them stands Sir Gawain, his unwavering faith intact. Guided by the spirit of chivalry, he ventures forth into a realm where ancient legends intertwine with the wonders of science and innovation.Book Details
