And Then the Town Took Off
'And Then the Town Took Off' Summary
'And Then the Town Took Off' follows Don Cort, a man who finds himself stranded in Superior, Ohio, after the entire town inexplicably rises two miles into the air. Superior's sudden departure from Earth is a mystery, and while the town's residents seem remarkably unfazed, Cort suspects there's more to the situation than meets the eye. The townspeople attribute their strange predicament to a local professor, who claims to have inadvertently caused the town's levitation, but as weeks pass and Superior drifts further away from Earth, it becomes apparent that the professor's explanations are as flimsy as his scientific credentials. Desperate to return to Earth, Cort embarks on a series of adventures to uncover the truth behind the town's ascension and find a way to bring it back down. With quirky characters, surprising twists, and a dash of satire, 'And Then the Town Took Off' is a whimsical and thought-provoking story about a town that's lost its moorings in more ways than one.Book Details
