In 'Andria,' Pamphilus, a young Athenian, is caught between his father Simo's desire for him to marry a woman he has chosen and his own love for Glycerium, a woman he believes to be the daughter of a man who lost his own son at sea. The play revolves around a series of misunderstandings and comedic situations driven by the characters' attempts to navigate their desires and navigate social pressures.
