'Autobiography of Charles H. Spurgeon, Volume 1' Summary
Charles Haddon Spurgeon was born in 1834 in Kelvedon, Essex, England. His father was a Congregationalist minister, and Spurgeon was raised in a strict religious household. He converted to Christianity at the age of 15 and began preaching soon after. In 1851, he became the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London, where he remained for the rest of his life. Spurgeon was a prolific writer and speaker, and he published over 100 books and pamphlets. He was also a strong advocate for social reform, and he founded several orphanages and other charitable institutions. Spurgeon died in 1892 at the age of 57, but his legacy continues to this day. He is considered one of the greatest preachers of all time, and his writings and sermons continue to inspire Christians around the world.Book Details
