Aventuras de Arturo Gordon Pym is a gothic novel by Edgar Allan Poe, first published in 1838. The story follows the adventures of Arthur Gordon Pym, a young man from Nantucket, who sets out on a whaling voyage to the South Seas. After the ship is wrecked, Pym and his companions are stranded on a desolate island. They soon discover that they are not alone on the island, and that they are being hunted by a mysterious race of cannibals. Pym and his companions must fight for their survival against the cannibals, and against the elements. The novel is a classic of American literature, and is considered one of Poe's masterpieces.
