'Bible (Hebrew) 02: The Book of Exodus' Summary
The Book of Exodus begins with the Israelites living in slavery in Egypt. Moses, a Hebrew who has been raised in the Egyptian court, is called by God to lead the Israelites out of slavery. Moses leads the Israelites on a journey through the wilderness to Mount Sinai. At Mount Sinai, God gives Moses the Ten Commandments and the Law. The Israelites enter into a covenant with God, promising to obey his laws. God promises to give the Israelites the land of Canaan, the Promised Land. The book ends with the Israelites building the Tabernacle, a portable sanctuary for God.Book Details
