'Bible (WEB) Apocrypha/Deuterocanon: Book of Tobit' Summary
The story of Tobit begins with Tobit, a devout Jew living in exile in Nineveh. He is blinded by bird droppings and falls into despair. However, the angel Raphael appears to Tobit and tells him that he will be healed and that he will find a wife named Sarah. Raphael also tells Tobit that he will have a son named Tobias. Tobit follows Raphael's instructions and is healed of his blindness. He then sends Tobias to find Sarah. Tobias finds Sarah and they marry. The couple then returns to Nineveh, where Tobit is reunited with his wife and son. The book ends with Tobit praising God for his goodness and mercy.Book Details
