The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night, also known as the Arabian Nights, is a collection of Middle Eastern folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age. The tales are told by the fictional Shahrazad to her husband, King Shahryar, over 1,001 nights to delay her execution. The stories range from fantasy to adventure to romance and often feature magical creatures, الجن (jinn), and other supernatural elements.
