'Børnene i Nyskoven' Summary
'Børnene i Nyskoven' af Frederick Marryat tager os med tilbage til England i 1600-tallet under den engelske borgerkrig. Vi møder fire adelsbørn, der er blevet forældreløse efter en katastrofal hændelse. Med deres hjem i flammer flygter de til en nærliggende skov, hvor de må lære at overleve. Edward, den ældste, har dog svært ved at acceptere deres nye tilværelse i skovens fred og kæmper med trangen til at kæmpe for kongen. De andre børn, Anna, Henry og Jane, er mere tilpasningsdygtige til skovlivet, og sammen forsøger de at finde en balance mellem at overleve i naturen og drømmen om en mere stabil fremtid. Marryat væver en gribende fortælling om modstandskraft, familiebånd og den barske realitet af krig og forfølgelse.
