Cave Girl
'Cave Girl' Summary
In Edgar Rice Burroughs's 'Cave Girl', the privileged and cowardly Waldo Emerson Smith-Jones finds himself shipwrecked on a prehistoric island teeming with ape-like creatures. His sheltered upbringing and bookish education have ill-prepared him for the harsh realities of jungle survival. He is consumed by fear when he encounters the island's primitive inhabitants, their violent nature starkly contrasting with his own timid demeanor. However, when cornered by these formidable beings, Waldo unexpectedly finds the courage to stand his ground, surprising even himself. While facing this perilous threat, he meets Nadara, a beautiful native woman who is also on the run. In an uncharacteristic act of bravery, Waldo rescues Nadara from the clutches of an ape-man, initiating a bond between them as they navigate the dangerous jungle together. The tale follows their harrowing journey as they evade their pursuers, confront their fears, and forge a connection amidst the relentless threat of the island's primal inhabitants.Book Details
