Christmas Carol: The Miser's Warning

Christmas Carol: The Miser's Warning

by Charles Zachary Barnett

This is a theatrical adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novella, *A Christmas Carol*. It was written by Charles Zachary Barnett and performed at the Surrey Theatre in 1844, shortly after the original story was published. The play follows the same plot as Dickens' novella, focusing on the transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge from a miserly, heartless old man into a compassionate and generous individual. Through encounters with the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, Scrooge is shown the error of his ways and the importance of kindness and generosity, especially during the holiday season.
