This book contains the text of the Spanish Constitution of 1978, which is the supreme law of Spain. It establishes the structure of the Spanish government, the fundamental rights and freedoms of Spanish citizens, and the principles of the Spanish state. The Constitution was approved by the Spanish people in a referendum on December 6, 1978, and has been in force since then. The Constitution consists of a preamble and 169 articles, which are grouped into 10 titles. The first title deals with the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens, such as the right to life, freedom of expression, and freedom of religion. The second title deals with the structure of the Spanish government, which is a parliamentary monarchy. The third title deals with the powers of the Cortes Generales, the Spanish parliament. The fourth title deals with the powers of the government. The fifth title deals with the powers of the judiciary. The sixth title deals with the Constitutional Court, which is the highest court in Spain. The seventh title deals with the armed forces. The eighth title deals with the territorial organization of Spain. The ninth title deals with the finances of Spain. The tenth title deals with the reform of the Constitution.Book Details
