'Countess of Rudolstadt' Summary
Picking up shortly after the conclusion of Consuelo, Countess of Rudolstadt finds the eponymous heroine enjoying a successful singing career. She befriends Princess Amelia of Prussia, whose brother, King Frederick II, also admires Consuelo. However, Consuelo's success attracts the attention of those who would use her for their own gain. She is soon imprisoned on suspicion of participating in a conspiracy against the king and becomes entangled in the machinations of a secret society. As she falls in love with a member of the society, Consuelo is faced with a difficult choice between her heart and her duty.Book Details
