Doncel de Don Enrique el Doliente es una novela romántica ambientada en la España del siglo XV durante el reinado de Enrique III de Castilla, conocido como "el Doliente" por sus constantes enfermedades. La historia gira en torno a Macías, un trovador que se enamora de Elvira, una dama castellana de alta alcurnia casada con Fernán Pérez de Vadillo, un hidalgo y miembro destacado de la corte de Enrique III. Enrique de Villena, tío del rey, desea deshacerse de su esposa, María Albornoz, para convertirse en maestre de la Orden de Calatrava. Elvira, camarera de doña María, intenta frustrar las intrigas de Villena y Macías pretende recuperarla e impedir que Enrique de Villena la sacrifique para ser maestre de Santiago, formando un laberinto de lances, disfraces, duelos y peripecias.Book Details
