Three men, desperate and broke in Tahiti, seize a schooner whose officers have perished from smallpox. Their plan? Their dream of wealth evaporates when they discover the deceased officers harbored the same ambition. Facing dwindling supplies in the vast Pacific, they stumble upon a hidden island, offering a glimmer of hope. However, this paradise harbors a secret – a lucrative pearl fishery – and the men's avarice, ever present, is rekindled.
