Ebb-Tide
'Ebb-Tide' Summary
In the treacherous waters of the South Pacific, three destitute men, Davis, Huish, and Attwater, find themselves on a doomed schooner. The ship's captain and crew have succumbed to smallpox, leaving the schooner adrift with a valuable cargo of champagne. Seizing their chance, the trio plans to steal the vessel and its bounty, believing their fortune is within reach. Yet, their greed is fueled by the champagne, leading them to nearly perish in a violent storm. The men's ambitions are further dashed when they realize the dead officers harbored a similar plan. Stranded and desperate, they find solace in the discovery of a hidden island, a beacon of hope in the vast Pacific. However, this seemingly idyllic haven harbors a secret: a thriving pearl fishery. Their greed reignited, the trio embarks on a new, treacherous scheme, setting the stage for a conflict between desperation, greed, and the unforgiving nature of the sea.Book Details
