'Epistles of Ignatius' Summary
The Epistles of Ignatius are a collection of seven letters written by Ignatius, the bishop of Antioch, in the early second century. The letters were written to various churches in Asia Minor and to Polycarp, the bishop of Smyrna. In the letters, Ignatius exhorts the churches to remain faithful to the true faith, to resist heresy, and to live in unity and love. He also encourages them to support their bishops and presbyters and to pray for him as he faces martyrdom in Rome.Book Details
