En *Eutifrón*, Sócrates se encuentra con Eutifrón, quien está en camino de presentar cargos contra su propio padre por homicidio. Eutifrón afirma estar actuando con piedad, lo que lleva a Sócrates a cuestionar la naturaleza misma de la piedad. A lo largo del diálogo, Sócrates, a través de preguntas incisivas, desafía las definiciones de piedad que Eutifrón ofrece, exponiendo las contradicciones e inconsistencias inherentes a su razonamiento.
