'Fame and Fortune Weekly No. 7: Winning His Way' Summary
Frank Morris, an 18-year-old, finds himself thrust into the role of publisher of his father's newspaper, the Green River Argus, after his father's sudden passing. However, Frank quickly learns that the paper has been intentionally undermined by Mr. Jebb, an employee hired by his father, at the behest of Squire Roach, a powerful local figure who desires to acquire the Argus at a discounted price. Determined to honor his father's legacy, Frank employs his ingenuity and persuasive skills to turn the tide. He faces numerous obstacles, including financial challenges, the threat of losing the paper, and the machinations of Roach and Jebb, who are determined to see him fail. Through hard work, perseverance, and strategic partnerships, Frank manages to expose Jebb's deceit and regain the trust of the community, ultimately restoring the Argus to its former glory and thwarting Roach's attempt to control the paper.
