'Fanatics' Summary
The story follows the lives of several characters as they struggle to cope with the war and its aftermath. There is John, a young man who joins the Union Army, and Mary, his sweetheart, who stays at home and waits for his return. There is also Mr. Morton, a wealthy plantation owner who is torn between his loyalty to his home and his opposition to slavery. As the war rages on, these characters must confront their own beliefs and prejudices, and ultimately decide what they are willing to fight for.Book Details
