Fanny's First Play is a play by George Bernard Shaw about a young woman named Fanny O'Dowda who writes a play. She keeps her authorship a secret from her father, a count who hates the vulgarity of modern life. Fanny hires professional actors and invites some major critics to a performance of her play.
