Haunted Woman
'Haunted Woman' Summary
Isabel Loment is engaged to Marshall Stokes, a man she finds affectionate but lacking emotional depth. While searching for a home for her aunt, she stumbles upon Runhill Court, an ancient mansion with a curious hidden staircase. Only those with a particular sensitivity can see this staircase, and it is through this gateway that Isabel encounters Henry Judge, the owner of the house. Their meeting sparks an intense and passionate connection, but their memories of this encounter fade the moment they descend the staircase back into the ordinary world. The strange, fleeting moments with Henry leave a haunting effect on Isabel, forcing her to question her own feelings and the reality she thought she knew. The Haunted Woman explores the tension between the mundane and the mystical, the allure of hidden realms, and the nature of love and memory. As Isabel grapples with her growing attachment to the enigmatic Henry, the reader is left to ponder the boundaries of perception and the enduring power of the unseen.Book Details
