'Idylls of the King' Summary
Idylls of the King tells the story of King Arthur's reign and the rise and fall of his kingdom. The poems begin with Arthur's coming to power and his marriage to Guinevere. However, the kingdom is soon threatened by the treachery of Mordred, Arthur's illegitimate son. Arthur and his knights are forced to fight a series of battles against Mordred's forces, and in the end, Arthur is killed. The poems end with the death of Arthur and the passing of his kingdom.Book Details
