'Kandid oder Die beste Welt' Summary
Candide is a young man who is taught by his tutor, Pangloss, that the world is the best of all possible worlds. However, Candide's optimism is severely tested as he witnesses the horrors of war, poverty, and religious persecution. He travels to many different countries and meets many different people, all of whom have their own unique experiences and perspectives on life. Through his travels, Candide learns that the world is not as perfect as he was once led to believe and that there is much suffering and injustice in the world. Despite the hardships he faces, Candide remains an optimist, believing that there is still good in the world and that it is possible to make a difference.Book Details
